Despite the cliché, this really is a journey through time and space given that my original ideas for some of the tracks date back to the last century. Back then home recording technology and computer software was either limited or expensive. And time for a hobby such as music composition, recording and publishing was limited by the day job.

Inevitably, as things changed and producing music at home became a reality and within the budget of everyone, I kept revisiting tracks and re-editing or adding new instruments, sounds or ideas. - a process which could have gone on forever. So I had to draw the line somewhere and stop. This album is where I got to, concentrating on 10 tracks from an abundance of ‘works in progress’ that do represent a cohesive set - even if the disparate nature of the individual pieces does not at first sound like it.

At the risk of sounding pretentious, the tracks represent the passage of time from chaotic beginnings, where structure starts to form, to peaceful resolution and order, but with a variety of experiences on the way. I have always developed the title track around an imaginary exploration through a galaxy to a specific wonder of the cosmos - the surrounding tracks representing how we get to this point, and what happens afterwards.

Yes, I did sound pretentious - so just listen and I hope you find some of the music acceptable.
